Unfortunately 1 star because you had to give one. Food is the last ice cold rock hard and the smell made me sick. The first time we got something there and certainly never again. Even the dog didn't want to eat it. I've never got anything like that disgusting. Sorry but under all would.

Very tasty food for a reasonable price. The salad and the chicken in the beer batter taste indescribably good :) The area is very family-friendly and there is enough parking space. We always like to come back!

Very tasty food at a good price-performance ratio. The beer battered chickens in particular are awesome, very flavorful and always fried to the point. Super juicy and above all the skin is great to kneel on. Everything on the menu is very tasty. The atmosphere is casual, sometimes a bit noisy, but it doesn't bother you. The roof terrace is highly recommended in summer.

The food was good, the staff friendly. But the dining room is not well maintained. Our bank was broken and the corona walls are more than carelessly erected. There certainly would have been better options. After all, you don't just want to eat well, you also want to do so in beautiful surroundings.

Super tasty little hands wrapped in dough, highly recommended. Really a great view from the roof terrace. We will come back for sure. Update from October 24th, 2020: What can I say? We were back as promised. It was delicious. This time we also tried the giant bratwusrt in a batter, which was also very tasty. The homemade schnapps are also recommended. Everything together is always worth a visit. Everyone should have tried it. That was definitely not the last visit.

We really wanted to try the 1/2 chicken in batter ... The weather was nice, so we reserved a table on the roof terrace. Here you have a wonderful view of the Zellertal ... and many wind turbines. The staff was very courteous and friendly. We ordered the famous battered chicken with fries, salad and a dip. Although the terrace was almost fully occupied, the waiting time was not too long. The chicken came in a super crispy batter, served with delicious fries and a dip of your choice. The side salad consisting of lettuce, some paprika, celery and white cabbage came first. It was very tasty, the chicken wasn't too dry, the french fries were spot on, the salad was crunchy and there were 5 different types of dip for everyone. Only the price makes me deduct a star. A half chicken with french fries, salad and a small bowl of dip is already the upper limit for € 13.70. Conclusion: If you like chicken, you've come to the right place - but be careful: the side dishes cost extra ...

HM Yes. In my eyes the Chicken Ranch is overrated. But as always when it comes to food, it's a matter of taste, of course. My family loves the place. The service could be better trained, but the waitresses were all friendly.

I think they have subsided. In terms of taste, it was okay, the chickens were good too, but no reason to go back. The dessert was great.

We have been here several times. It's just awesome here ? The food tastes very good, there is a large selection, there is something for everyone. The staff is super friendly and fast. In summer you have to sit on the panoramic terrace, the view is amazing. Only to be recommended, we always like to come ?

Great fried chicken and German side dishes in a wine town on top of a hill with a nice view. Call early and get a reservation, in good weather ask to sit on the terrace

Fast service, great food and a good view of the country side. This restaurant gets busy on the weekends and their portion sizes are similar to your American southern cooking, with an all German style of cooking. If you want to sit outside and enjoy the view you'll need to make a reservation but downstairs is fine as well as you can look out and see some of the view. It's children friendly too. Get their signature chicken dish and try their wines that are top knock notch and dirt cheap. Dare I say they are better than many of their French counterparts.
